Polarising lenses
| A layer of special crystals enable polarising lenses to block out polarised light such as light reflected from water, wet roads or snow, in addition to the general absorption of light by a tinted lens. They therefore offer the best glare reduction of any sunglass lens. Many quality sunglasses are available with tinted or polarised lenses – both give 100% UV protection however the polarising lenses tend to give clearer vision and cost a little more. Polarising lenses are ideal for any activity near water – fishing, water-sports, boating or beach-combing and are also advised for skiing, mountaineering and driving. |
